I am a NCCAOM-certified professional based out of St. Petersburg, Florida. After graduating in 2000 with a Masters degree in Five Element Acupuncture from Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia Institute) in Laurel, Maryland, I relocated to St. Petersburg, where I’ve been practicing since 2001. Five Element theory is based on the observation of the natural cycles and interrelationships in both our environment and within ourselves.
My additional training includes TCM, Korean Constitutional, and Master Tung Acupuncture.

Sen. Durell Peaden, R- Crestview, wants to add more counties. A doctor and key lawmaker on health issues, Peaden has had herniated discs since he was 12 and two back operations.
“When you are suffering from pain, you don’t want to be doped up all the time,”, Peaden said, ‘You just want to be out of pain”.
St. Petersburg resident Charlotte Neikens hopes Peaden can persuade his legislative colleagues. Twice-monthly acupuncture sessions have wiped out or lessened, stomach pain, knee pain, migraines and menstrual cramping, Neikens said.
“At first I thought I’m not interested in that wacko stuff, that New Age stuff,” Neikens said.
But Acupuncturist JoAnne Lehrfeld’s tiny metal needles brought instant relief, Neikens said.
“It was like, wow! Do it again. Do it again!”
She felt so good after her first session, she said, she took her daughter roller-skating for the first time in years.
